| I had bought some 300zx mounts from napa once that looked almost exactly like OEM mounts. The mount studs were too long so in order to get the studs to line up with the holes in the subframe I had to cut them shorter. The metal nivits that go in the notch holes were also wider so I had to grind them to fit too. When I finally got it together and bolted everything up I couldn't get the intake hoses on because they wouldn't reach the throttle bodies properly. Then I tried to close the hood and found that the motor was to high. I ended up pulling it back out and replacing the mounts with OEM and everything went together easy. Since I had tried to cut things to make the napa mounts fit I couldn't return them so I ended up throwing them in the trash. It was a waste of time and money but a good learning experience.
